GotchaRSS stores feed subscriptions, folders, unread status, saved articles, and reading preferences on your device. Imported OPML files are processed locally to create subscriptions.

GotchaRSS is a native RSS reader for macOS. It is designed to keep reading activity under your control and avoid collecting data that is not needed to run the product.
The short version: your library stays on your device, there are no ads, and Gotchacode does not sell your information.

Sync and system services
If you enable iCloud or other Apple system features, Apple may process app data according to your account settings and its privacy policies. Gotchacode does not operate an account system for GotchaRSS.
Support email
If you contact Gotchacode, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, logs, screenshots, or device details. We use it only to respond and improve the app.
No ads or sale of data
GotchaRSS does not sell personal information. The current release does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party marketing analytics.
Feeds and website requests
When GotchaRSS refreshes feeds or loads article content, your device contacts the feed publisher or website directly. Those publishers may receive normal request information, such as your IP address and user agent, according to their own privacy practices.
Diagnostics
App Store, TestFlight, macOS, and crash reporting services may provide diagnostics if you have enabled sharing with developers in your Apple settings. Gotchacode uses diagnostics only to fix crashes and improve reliability.
Children
GotchaRSS is not directed to children under 13, and Gotchacode does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
